Hey guys happy Sunday! My favorite line from this post "WEALTH HOLDS NO CURRENCY ON AN UNINHABITABLE PLANET" By now you probably know that every Sunday I donate my social media to my @YearsofLiving team to talk about carbon pricing! Please take a second to read this post to figure out how you can get involved!! Remember it's up to us! As many of you know, this week our President pulled the United States out of the historic #ParisAgreement which was the result of #COP21. Here is what one of the @putapriceonit Fellows Carrie has to say. She is a part of the #putapriceonit effort in Massachusetts, which could be the first state in our country to make climate change causing pollution expensive. "Wealth holds no currency on an uninhabitable planet. Everything is connected to the Earth, and it should be our global priority to protect it. It is easy to feel defeated by this senseless decision, but turning this anger into motivation is more important. When I read the headline about Trump's Paris decision for the first time, I felt nothing but an overwhelming surge of anger, frustration, and sadness. I am still in disbelief, even though I had been anticipating this since his election. It is hard to imagine that our planet will survive such a dystopic reality, and for this reason we must work harder than ever against Trump's silencing and ignorance. What has taken centuries to grow can be destroyed in days, and I worry what can happen in the near future when someone so blind to this has so much power. It infuriates me to see Trump call America a leader in environmentalism when we have so far to go as a national, especially with him as a leader. This is a man who values monetary possessions and greed over the priceless serenity of our natural resources. It is so frustrating to hear him prioritize issues without knowing the interconnectedness of his actions. Without a planet to live on, we will have no jobs. Without clean air to breathe, there will be no workers in our factories. Trump says acknowledging the Paris Agreement would decrease the quality of life of Americans, but is it really a promising alternative to have no life at all?"
