Jim Walmsley has been tearing up the ultra scene lately, but he has a lot to learn from his elders. With ‘only’ 14 ultra wins on his record to match Karl Meltzer's 58 ultra wins, Jim would either have to have seven more ‘Ultra Runner of the Year’ seasons like he did in 2016 (earning seven ultra wins) or win two ultras a year for the next 22 years to match Karl.
