On a show like #potc5 only your imagination as a filmmaker sets the limits. You can dream up something (in the shower) and a year later they've built it. The guillotine scene is a good example of that. However, for it to be funny, there were many elements that needed to work. It was a huge rig that was expensive to build but most importantly we needed Johnny to be strapped into it while it was rotating 20 feet in the air. Johnny understood that the comedy of the scene, amongst all the moving parts, would be seeing his face (and dreads) being subjected to gravity - and went for it. And it got funny! Of course, we filmed it at the very end of the shoot just in case we chopped his head off ☠️?☠️ @disneypirates #nowplaying
