He stares out hoping to make eye contact. Once I do, I approach and he wants head rubs first. When I'm done and step back, he smooshes his body up against the fence cos it's time for a body massage or to pet the side of his head. This boy had a home for only 6 months and now he has 1 more day of life if he doesn't get adopted or rescued. Still no foster offers yet. The shelter is about to close for the day and then his 24 hours begin... 💔😩 Last post: 🆘🆘🆘Don was saved from euthanasia today and has 48 hours to make it out alive!! 🆘🆘🆘 This boy has had such a rough life! He was originally at the shelter for 5 months, passed his temp test and was stellar in the @sheltermetv training program. He was adopted and when his owners moved 6 months later, he was dumped back at the shelter. He will spend his last days on earth here if he doesn't get adopted or rescued within the next 2 days. 😩 He is 7, neutered, chipped. He is in the @downey_playgroups and is quite the ladies man. He does, however, prefer to be the only male dog around so he would do best in a home with female dogs. He LOVES affection and being pet. He always -100% of the time - comes up and smooshes his body against the fence to be pet and could sit there all day and night. This lovebug tank (who has the softest fur too) needs a miracle! A foster offer could possibly save his life. Don is beyond URGENT!! 🆘🙏🏼🆘 Last post: Don is quite a hunk!! He originally came in in April 2016 and was there until late September when he was adopted. He has a good temperament since he lasted so long through the busiest time at the shelter. His adopter surrendered him back to the shelter 3/31.💔 This 7yo #pitbull is always sitting at his kennel door waiting and hoping that you'll come say hi to him. He's a 76lb tank who has the most beautiful eyes and softest fur. He loves to be pet so once you start, he turns to the side to give you more surface area to love on.
