In 1993 #TonyKushner cast me as Harper Pitt in his epic revelation "Angels In America:Perestroika" at NYU before it went to Broadway. It was the most powerful, most challenging, most transformative creative experience of my life. The confluence of graduating from school and entering the unknown, the time in History re: AIDS, my acting teacher simultaneously dying of AIDS, intersecting with one of the most brilliant minds in Tony Kushner, performing with my future husband...it was heavy with meaning. The script was a prized possession. I just found out there was a fire in my storage facility and my things were ruined. Here is the waterlogged script. The heartbreak is deep. I know it's just paper- a thing- but it feels like an entire part of my life. So..loss. I know the Universe is teaching me an important lesson. I just have to be open to what it is, and patient. Two fires within 3 months, on 2 coasts. Hmmmmmm.
