Jason begged me to have children. And for the first five years of our marriage, I thought of every excuse not to do it. "I'll lose my identity, I won't be good enough, I'll forget it in the backseat of a car while I'm valeting...." When we eventually did have Sid, I had those same fears and MORE. I was terrified of how much I loved him. Petrified that I'd never be good enough. Jason was not only my greatest supporter, he was a role model. His compassion, his patience, his ability to love even through fear got me through one of the biggest existential crises of my life. Despite living in the age of the iPhone he is an ever present father and a perennial student always striving to be a better man than he was the day before. I feel so honored to share my son (s) with him. And am eternally grateful that he never stopped begging me to have them. Happy Father's Day, Staby #fathersday
