At first glance, this well-spiced cake looks like dessert, but don’t be fooled: It’s iced with crème fraîche and doesn’t have one speck of sugar. The savory #carrotcake is garnished with cilantro, scallions, black sesame seeds and crushed red pepper. All dressed up, and perhaps with a single candle at the center, it could shine as a special-occasion cake.
