This image was photographed in Hammerfest, Arctic Norway on the 19th of February, 2017. The temperature was -6C, and there was intermittent hail and snow which kept melting and freezing to both me and my camera. The photo is hand-held and uses the inbuilt stabilizer of the camera. Salt spray and cold, icy low-light conditions were not enough to stop my Pentax. After I waited about an hour, this bird landed on a rock. I could see a wave coming, so I switched the camera into motor drive and snapped this photo of the bird trying to hold on for dear life to the rock". No matter what it takes capturing that moment is what counts. Great image taken by our #teampentax fan Jason Barraclough.
