"June 1, 2017.... Cole is a 10 year cancer survivor.

His tumor removal on 6/1/07 and subsquent scans provided 'no evidence of disease' even though he had a few treatments to complete.

We continue to be both amazed and grateful for his progress. He has defied the odds given to him at diagnosis... less than 15% chance of surviving 5 years or more. Neuroblastoma is devious and unpredictable and we have seen it wage a war on other families with tragic outcomes. I could go on and on about what a miracle he is but if you know him, you kinda know that already.

I'd be lying if I told you that I knew it was all going to turn out this way 10 years ago. Admittedly I'd like to go back 10 years in time and whisper in my own ear not to worry so much. 'If you are going through hell, keep going was our mantra in those first few years. I like to now say that 'if it wasn't for Alex Scott, there would be no Cole Fitzgerald.' The unsung heroes to this story are Maggie and Maeve who support their brother unconditionally, even when he is getting on their last nerve as 13 year old males sometimes do. Their lives were changed immensely when Cole was sick and they've grown up knowing that his fate was uncertain. That's a big cross to carry when you are a little kid. I'm so proud of both daughters who continue to be the definition of 'super siblings.'" - Keren, Cole's Mom.

Please join us in celebrating this incredible milestone for Cole who is now 10 years cancer free! But our work is not done. Safer treatments and more cures are necessary to ensure there are more childhood cancer survivors with no lifelong side effects. And we CAN have these results, one cup at a time.
