Ramadan Reflection 2017: Develop family relationship for better
This Ramadan, Allah gave me an opportunity to fast together with my husband for the very first time. Before Ramadan starts we discussed and set the goals on what each of us and individually would like to archive during the holy month. Although traveling from Tokyo to Shanghai and Malaysia gave us challenges in terms of keeping up our stamina mentally and physically, we were able to cheer up each other. As the newly married couple, I was able to practice good deeds to my husband for the sake of Allah and so as him. Spending time to learn Islam together, and to pray together, cooking Sahur and Iftar for him, being supportive for his works etc. When this happened over a month, I honestly feel the relationship with my husband moved towards next step with more love and trust. Same happened when I came back to Malaysia, spending Ramadan with my family in law. Ever since I encountered Islam by being friends with sisters from ASEAN countries, I have been admired by their family ties with love all around. I believe Ramadan is a chance to develop the family relationship for better throughout the patience, caring and loving each other. These are what I felt throughout the Ramadan and I hope your Ramadan and Eid were full of happiness and appreciation towards Allah. May Allah accept our prayers and grants us in the higher place in Jannah. Amen.
