This is why I've collected tattered postcards with faded penmanship. And dip pens, old books, stamps, and all kinds of odds and ends. Both the used and new items I gather alike become part of my story, my journey and I love that they weather with me along the way. My grandparents had treasures and keepsakes strewn along their home and I used to love to learn about who they were beyond just being my grandparents through the tale and lore of what survived throughout all the years, what they brought along for the ride. I hope one day my home will be like that too. A cavernous adventure in and of itself that beckons the storyteller to come to the campfire once again. .
