@saraagahfranti and I started the @doitfortheloveorg because we believe in the power of music to transform people lives when they are experiencing life's greatest challenges. Our mission is to bring children, adults and veterans with serious medical conditions or special needs to see any live concert, by any artist, in any city in North America (and beyond soon). This picture is of Martina and I dancing at @sakjazz 2017. 2 years ago while battling breast cancer, she was a Do It For The Love wish recipient and came to our show. This year the cancer has spread to her brain but it not crushed any of here enthusiasm for celebrating life, as you can see in this photo. She shared with me how important music has been on her health journey. To date DIFTL has sent families to over 900 concerts by hundreds of different artists.
Our goal is to reach 1000 by our fourth anniversary in August, here's how we'd like you to get involved. 1. Go to www.doitforthelove.org and nominate someone you love who needs music and we'll get them to a concert.
OR 2. Put on a fundraising event in your town, yoga, BBQ, dedicate a beer at your restaurant for a night, have a potluck, it's a fun way to give back to your community! We are calling this effort #SummerTimeLove Go for it right now!
