My perception of #July4th has changed.
It began with #StandingRock. My Native friends have taught me that this holiday holds no cause for celebration for #FirstNation People.
#Indigenous People were #colonized #tortured #raped and #murdered by the very same European people who fought for their own freedom from #oppression.
Then they abducted African Peoples and made them their slaves. This oppression is still being acted out in #prisons, through #economicinequality #votersuppression #CopMafia #Reservations etc... #Racism in all of its forms.
