Hey guyyyysss! I'm super excited to tell you about a new project!!! About a year ago I met @cindyleww on Instagram when she volunteered to drive across town to do a last minute, emergency house check for a Puerto Rico dog that had been sent to Oregon and needed to be rehomed that day. Since then - Cindy a fellow @newyorkbullycrew supporter - has been down to Puerto Rico twice to help me with dogs. Today we take on our first case under our new non profit The Puerto Rico Dog Fund!! With PRDF we will continue to work with our friends @newyorkbullycrew and @wild_at_heart_foundation ? @nwdogproject @soulsofsatos @defensaanimalrinconpr @maytesrescue @maedayrescue @rebeldogsrescue @cocosheartdogrescue and so many others ? We are not a traditional rescue- we are already lucky enough to work with some amazing rescue groups. Our goal is to reduce the amount of stray dogs and suffering on the island through sterilization clinics; enable the people of Puerto Rico to keep their pets by assisting with veterinary care costs and food; and vetting street dogs before they are sent to our rescue partners in the continental US and U.K. That being said - we couldn't turn down this chance to SAVE PUPPIES!!! ??? this pregnant mama was taken in by a giant hearted local woman who does not have the means to care for so many babies nor the connections to get them adopted into good forever homes. Our PR angel lady has adopted the mama (who was recently spayed at the free sterilization clinic offered by @wild_at_heart_foundation at the @humanesocietypr). Please help us raise the funds for the pups vetting and flight to a rescue in Oregon. These babies will never have to experience what so many poor dogs here on the island go through.
