Saying we love them but not respecting them for the place they are at in life because if we acknowledge it we would have to acknowledge that the commitment is being forced. What is the issue with being friends and seeing what happens? What's so bad about being friends with the one you love instead of committing to someone that you can not be your best for? Breaking up is no different than you dealing with someone and stopping. A label doesn't mean something was more real and not having a label doesn't mean it was fake. But being in a relationship for the sake of having something consistent does halt your growth and potentially create a victimizing narrative for you "omg he/she won't stop cheating", "he/she just can't do right." Or a vilifying narrative, "I just can't be faithful", "I just can't be right." No. You just can't be what they want to be, or you just need to be single, be single. #JustHaveFun
