The Great Mosque of al-Nuri, with it’s famous leaning minaret al-Hadba, was destroyed during the battle of Mosul on June 21, 2017. In a vandalistic move, Isis destroyed the mosque rather than let it go from their control. I took many photographs from the top of this minaret.
