The literacy rate in Nepal is 65 percent, but by building schools alongside community members in rural villages such as Bankanari, together we are breaking the cycle of illiteracy for current and future generations in Nepal. •
Last year with Team Cila we raised enough money to build a school in Nepal, finance a literacy program for adults, and on top of that we had enough to finance a program to send 11 inner city inspiring kids from Detroit to Haiti to build another schools ? •
If you too want to get involved it's very simple! All you need is a few friends or big hearted people who want to make a difference, some ideas to fundraise, a bit of patience and internet ! You too can create your team and build a school in Nepal, Haiti, Senegal or Malawi.
Education is the key for these countries. We have so much to learn from these kids and their culture!
All they need is a place to get together, feed their soul with knowledge and creativity and then offer their gift to the world ? •
