Video by @Joel Sartore | Seldom, if ever photographed before, this western tragopan at the Himalayan Nature Park in India belongs to a species that is currently listed as vulnerable by #IUCN. They have a beautiful, spotted plumage with a bright orange collar, so they’re often illegally hunted for their feathers as well as their meat. Habitat degradation and disturbances of their nests are also major threats to the continuation of the species.
