At a ‘kopitiam’ with friends of different faiths. This is actually a clever trick-eye (trompe l’oeil in French) mural at the Harmony in Diversity Gallery. The kopitiam is an important common space where Singaporeans of different races and religions can meet and share a meal together.
The Gallery (located in @mndsingapore) is a collaboration between Government and community partners. Its exhibits and interactive features highlight the common ground among the different religions, and explore our experience sustaining religious harmony.
Earlier I did a walking tour of five places of worship along Telok Ayer Street nearby, where they have been for more than a century. Can you name them all? (The answers are on my Facebook Page :) ). – LHL (MCI Photos by Terence Tan)
