I was sent all these texts this morning about Chris, about Chester, about Eddie's playlist : the new solo tour. Listened to Chester's interview from last February: the struggles, this ridiculousness that success grants some idea that you are infallible, that you no longer have demons. I sit here this morning, another morning in a potpourri of a lifetime of mornings, how many we know not, thinking of all the black mornings and the gray mornings and the pink mornings and the green ones and the ones that stabbed at my mind and the ones that stretched my heart into what felt like a never ending sunrise. All the mornings. Then there's the afternoon, then all the evenings: tens of them, then hundreds, then thousands accumulated. This morning I look to my right and see you, just this morning, and you move me; you move me to no end. With all my friends in mind, and all the strugggles we all have and will go through, I thank God for this morning. It is a good morning: a human morning. A thanks morning.
