This is little different than my usual fare. Creative expressions take on countless forms and I thought I'd start sharing other aspects of inspiration from time to time. I hope that's okay with you all. This snapshot was from a moment where I felt so connected and grounded and utterly free. I was with the closest of friends, who are truly like family. There are no filters, masks, second thoughts or hidden spaces with them. Nor is there control, competition or fear nor any of the static that stems from those elements. Instead there is pureness in the sense that we are comfortably who we are and that in itself brings out the fullest in each of us. Where there is trust and honor, there is also an indescribable synergy that grows. We can talk about the magnificent, the beautiful as well as the gritty realness of our humanity in the life lessons we walk through each day. The ones that we as humans typically do a great job of hiding, denying and running from. And yet we see each other. And they see me, in my flaws, strengths, blind spots, doozies, triumphs and everything in between. And still they will tell me to this day with a sincerity that cannot be mustered, "It's as if you fell right out of a storybook and into our hearts." If that isn't the most humbling and enormous expression of love. Not just the words themselves. But the weight that comes from history, vulnerability, connection and the sharing of lives. In a day and age where people are sliced, diced and sized up so quickly, especially in the virtual world, having kindred spirits as friends, as family, who truly know you beyond all facades, and can look at you and say with their whole heart that you are beautiful and wonderful, and then encourage you to audaciously go after dreams, to succeed and to walk in fullness unapologetically - people like this are the most priceless of treasures in life, and the mirror we need that not only shuts down the naysayers around us but the one in our head too. ♥️ . . #deardiary #memoirs #mythoughts #friendswhoarefamily #soulmate #dreamers #liveunscripted #momentslikethese #bwphoto #sunhat #verilymoment #theweekoninstagram
