Students from all over the region take field trips to the lake, using long sticks they boil eggs in plastic bags within the searing hot water. Lake Bogoria has the highest concentration of true geysers in Africa. The locals believe inhaling and exposing yourself to the vapors can heal breathing and skin problems.
