Three years ago today, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 opened and, well, my life changed. They say success changes people, and I know, in some ways, it's unavoidable. I pray every day that it has changed and will continue to change me for the better and not for the worse. "With great responsibility" and all that. You know the story.

Thank you all for taking the Guardians into your hearts and all of the love you've given them, and me, over the past three years. I work hard to create films that have respect for their characters, films that seek deeper truths about the goodness within all of us and the magic in the world beyond, and films that allow folks to walk out of a theater loving the person next to them a bit more than they did when they walked in. It's my promise to you that I will continue to be committed to these ideals, through Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and beyond.
