Located along the historic Ninenzaka street, the same path that leads to Kiyomizu-dera, this Starbucks cafe is housed inside a 100-year old traditional Japanese townhouse.

Tips: best to go early if you wish to get some nice photos and a tatami seat.
The store doesn't allow queuing outside along the streets. So if you arrive earlier, just pace outside the store (technically not counted as queueing). The first counter when you enter is where you view the menu and order the pastries and drinks. Move on to counter two inside next to the garden to pick up your drink. While you wait for your drink, if you ordered pastries already, it could be good to go get a seat first.
Most seating and all tatami rooms are located on 2nd floor. There are total 3 tatami zones, please take out your shoes when entering the tatami areas.
Please do not cut 'queue' in front of others who have arrived before you assuming you are crazy like me to go wait before opening hours.
