"The first time I ran this race, I saw two moose with full racks around mile three. Speedgoat 50K is a true mountain course. It has around 14,000 feet of climbing in 32 miles, and it’s a mix of every type of trail — rocky four-wheel roads, ski slopes, grass, mountain bike single track. The course rolls with giant climbs and descents with thousands of feet of vertical relief, and it hits steep grades over 30%.
