She took me under her wing

This is Sarah, a 31 year old golden eagle. Rescued when she was one by Colin Weir, she's been a part of his foundation @albertabirdsofpreycentre for three decades.

Over 70 birds -owls, hawks and eagles- are currently cared for at the sanctuary. While the goal is to release birds back into the wild, if for any reason they cannot make it out in the world, they always have a loving home here.

If you visit the Canadian badlands you can stop by Alberta Birds of Prey any time during the summer months and see the birds up close and personal yourself.

You might even get to pet beautiful Sarah who is so very sweet. Who knows? She might even take you under wing. ?
