I love that wellness is trending, but I also want it to stick forever. We don't drink a daily green smoothie and eat more plants just to "play" healthy. We want to "be" healthy. . A few years ago, I was soooooo exhausted because of my food choices. I ate $5 Hungry Howies cheese pizza a LOT, downed bowls of Lucky Charms for dinner and became a Starbucks junkie. I was forcing my body to go 90MPH all day on empty calories— and it was crushing my body and my spirits. . I was literally so tired that on my birthday I asked my husband if my present could be "sleeping in for as long as I wanted." I didn't want a new dress, or a new book or a fun dinner out. I wanted sleep, as lame as that sounds. . Then, I started drinking green smoothies...and fell in love with almond butter and kale chips. I became interested in simpler foods...those without chemicals. . Through all this, my energy jumped up and so did my excitement about my life. I started to discover what I was passionate about: running, traveling, flying and nature. Now, when I had downtime, instead of crawling into bed, I live out my passions. . The foods you eat can literally fuel your passion. . How about you? Are you able to go after your passions? If you are, tell me about it!
