Baby of the family ? Since adopting Navi, it has been a rollercoaster ride. Wah and I thought we were prepared for a new family member, but man you can never be prepared enough I guess ? We talked about adopting a 3rd dog for over 5 years before we decided to get Navi. Yeah girl, we sho planned! Lol! The first 2 months of having her was cleaning up pee and poop around the apartment everyday. She was so scared of everything that any sudden movement or noise would make her pee & poop out of fear. There were moments Wah and I would argue over just frustration of being overwhelmed by so many pets (3 dogs, 2 rabbits- I know we crazy ?). But I wouldn't trade her for anything! Everyday, I see that Navi is learning to trust people more and more. She runs up to me and jumps up to my face to give me kisses when I come home. She doesn't feel the need to rush and eat anymore because she KNOWS no one will take food away from her...and she knows she has to use the pads to do her business (with accidents sometimes ?). I'm such a proud mama ?? I guess my message is, I know people think adopting is a stressful process & that maybe it's easier to raise a dog from puppyhood. And girl maybe it is! Lol! But nothing feels more rewarding knowing that you literally SAVED a dogs life and to slowly see them place their trust in your hands. Navi couldn't be a more perfect dog for me. She is Money's best friend and Michi's worst nightmare...haha jk! Michi just be thinking she's better than everyone ? #adoptdontshop We adopted Navi from @dogsofahwf. They rescue dogs from the Asia dog meat trade. They are the best animal shelter I've ever visited with the kindest, most passionate people. Please consider adopting from them if you're looking for a companion.
