Travel from cityscapes to cliffsides + wintry peaks with GoPro #FeaturedPhotographer @chrisgprado. Scope our IG Story for more ?. • Photo 1: Night photos are some of my favorite photos to shoot with my #HERO5. Composing the shot, testing exposures, and figuring out the best white balance make the process seem like a puzzle. Settings: Night Photo Mode, 5-second exposure, GoPro Color, WB 3000K, ISO max/min 100, Sharpness: Low • Photo 2: On a clear evening, my adventure buddy @MikeMaholias and I spotted this crazy ridge above the walking path we were on. Mike wanted to get out onto the spine to capture the sunset and I knew I had to get a shot of him perched out there. I wanted to get a photo with my perspective and Mike on the ridge, so I rotated my camera sideways to get a taller frame. • Photo 3: Even after a handful of trips to #Yosemite, the park never disappoints. As I was hiking up the Mist Trail, Vernal Fall was spitting spray and creating an epic rainbow. Primed for a selfie, I used 0.5 second Time Lapse Mode and the 3-Way mount to get the shot. • Photo 4: This past June I made it out to the #GoProMtnGames in Vail, CO. The best part was being a spectator and seeing all the amazing athletes do their thing. This photo is from the Ladies’ Kayak Freestyle Final. Despite a packed house, I was able to maneuver next to the water, just feet from the action. I needed a little more extension to get the angle I was looking for, so I mounted my #HERO5 Black on the El Grande Extension Pole and used 0.5 second Time Lapse mode to snag this frame. • Photo 5: Despite going to school in #LosAngeles, it’s easy to get my snow fix with @MammothMountain being just a stone’s throw away. Below Chair 23, a storm had formed a nice wind-lip, so I set up my camera to capture my friend Sam. After composing the frame to have Sam against the sky and above the horizon, I put my camera in 30/3 Burst Mode and fired away. • Photo 6: Some of the best parts of the #BayArea are the hills. This spot, Devil’s Slide, is the longboarder’s dream — until you have to walk back up! Nonetheless, I knew I could grab a solid selfie on the way down using a 3-Way Mount and .5 second Time Lapse Mode.
