Axis Mundo: Queer Networks In Chicano L.A.
Here is a sneak peek of one of my favorite exhibitions that opens tonight.
The show is beautifully curated in a way that is still intimate and cared for. As a queer artist of color, I felt a deep connection with the works in the show, the artists and histories–the exhibition maps the intersections among a network of queer Chicano artists and their collaborators from the late 1960s to the early 1990s.
Artists in the show include Teddy Sandoval, Joey Terrill, ASCO, Nervous Gender, Pauline Oliveros and more... The exhibition takes place in two locations:
