"This image, 'The Great Hunt', is named after the #petroglyph panel. The image is one single exposure lasting for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Taken in Nine Mile Canyon, Utah. I planned for several months for this shot. Finally everything was perfect to capture #ancient skies and ancient #art and history. This image was even shared on the nightly news during the weather broadcast of the news in Utah. Polaris, The North Star is the pivot point in the sky. The faint light band ascending up and to the right of #Polaris is the #MilkyWay. I feel that at night, under moon or starlight, is a great way to view these ancient works of art from the Native American people. It is also a 'soulful' time to reflect, meditate, and contemplate life, the Universe, and everything. I love that this panel is so very well-preserved." #MyCanonStory
