The miracle is in every expression of life (and nature thereof); the prodigy that brings us back to the One who created it is in every drop of water. But as a man of faith, a Christian, a practicing Catholic, when I was in Jordan I felt the need to express my devotion, praying at the site where our Lord Jesus was baptized: in Bethany, where the air is filled with sacredness and the water flows with spirituality and prayer, preserving the memory of an old but still relevant encounter that has changed the history of mankind and the world.

Il miracolo è in ogni espressione della vita (e dunque della natura): in ogni goccia d’acqua è quel prodigio che ci riporta a Colui che l’ha generato. Ma in quanto uomo di fede, cristiano, cattolico praticante, in Giordania ho percepito il bisogno di esprimere la mia devozione, pregando presso il sito del battesimo di nostro Signore Gesù: a Betania, dove l’aria è intrisa di sacralità e l’acqua freme di spiritualità e preghiera, conservando la memoria d’un antico ma attualissimo incontro, che ha modificato la storia degli uomini e del mondo.
