When I lived in LA, I had hundreds of shoes, hundreds of shirts, almost a hundred suits. All of my clothes, furniture and the rest of my stuff are still in warehouses. After I rescued Cielo and decided to move to Mexico, the only thing that I brought with me is John Digweed’s old record case and of course, Woody. @djjohndigweed used to travel with 4 record cases full of vinyls and acetates before a good CD Player came out, and whenever we were together, I used to help him carry one or two cases. When full, each one of them must weight about 60 pounds. Some years ago, John was supporting a charity and he auctioned that record case. I was the highest bidder. When I saw him next some months later, he pulled me to the side and told me: “Eduardo, please take care of my record box. It’s super important to me”. @djjohndigweed without any doubt, is the greatest DJ in history. No other DJ has touched the frequencies that John reached. Most people won’t understand it because it is something that has to be lived, it can’t be told or explained. I call him The Master of Disaster because if he traps your awareness with his Music, he’ll obliterate your idea of the world and will present you a more sophisticated reality. Again, it can’t be explained or understood from an outside point of view. I’ve heard him more than 100 times. I used to travel once a month to NY to watch him perform at Twilo, the best underground club in history, and John would DJ for 8 or 10 hours straight. I laugh when I see how most famous pop singers refer to them as artists, they’d cry if they happen to understand what a real Artist like John Digweed represents...
