Supreme opened in Brooklyn today with a giant skate bowl. Last night, they had an opening party. In the crowd, there were skaters (Mark Gonzales, @sageelsesser), celebrities (@amareisreal, James Franco), avatars of good taste (@mistermort, @venusxgg), at least two people in hyper-chunky Balenciaga Triple S sneakers, a troop of public relations representatives and, out on the street, security alternating between pushing people off the sidewalk and back on it. (And also children: There were probably more attendees under the age of 13 than, say, between 13 and 20.) Like, Zani Bici, shown here, at the opening. "He knows how to skateboard,” said his father, Peter Bici, who was one of the first team riders for Supreme when the store first opened in 1994. “He sees me doing it so he likes it.” Read @joncaramanica take on it all.
