赤旗を購読していたけれど入党はせず、革新系から何度か市議候補にと薦められながらも拒んだ亡父。子供の頃の私にも「リベラル」とか「リアリズム」という言葉をよく使っていた。やっとその意味がわかってきた。「左翼」なんて言葉も父の口から聞いたことがない。その意味もわかってきた。
父の言がすべて正しいとは思わないけれど。
この度の立憲民主党発足と共産党の判断に対して父が生きていたらなんと言うか想像してみる。
父は自らのことを「オプティミスト」だとも言っていた。
そして選挙になるたびに思いだす父の言葉・・・
「いますぐ世の中が変わらなくても未来のためにおまえの一票があるんだ」
自分の一票の重さを知る。

About my lost father

Although he was subscribed to the Red Flag newspapers, he did not join the party, but he passed away from the innovation system and refused, despite being recommended as a city council candidate several times. I often used the word "liberal" or "realism" to me as a child. Finally I understood the meaning. I have never heard the word "left wing" from my father's mouth. I understood the meaning as well.
I do not think my father's words are all right.
Imagine what I would say if my father were alive against the Constitutional Democratic Party's launch and the judgment of the Japan Communist Party.
My father also said that he was "Optimist".
And I will not forget the word "There is your vote for the future even if the world does not change right now".
