Today we celebrate National Coming Out Day! ?️‍? It is a day to celebrate those who have come out and, perhaps more importantly, to offer guidance and support to those struggling with coming out and being true to themselves. ------------------------------------------------------
It is important to remember that coming out is something each person has to do at their own pace. Each individual's journey should be respected and honored. Remember, there's no "perfect" time to come out; only YOUR time. ------------------------------------------------------
Being LGBT in this world can be very scary. In many places across the U.S. and world, LGBT citizens continue to be bullied, harassed, and sometimes even assaulted or murdered. Coming out to and being yourself in a world like that isn't easy, so please--if you know someone who is struggling with this decision--show them kindness, patience, and unconditional love until they are ready.

To those of you who haven't come out, please know that there are millions of people all over the world who support you, even if those closest to you do not. There are numerous resources available to you. For guidance on coming out, visit TheTrevorProject.org, HRC.org, and PFLAG.org.
