In a world chaotic and severe, especially right now, with divisiveness at the forefront, and judgment rearing its ugly head from all sides, we need pause. When universal collectiveness is in question and we forget how fragile a life we live within, we must remember that when all ego is stripped away and basic needs call, we look to each other. When natural disasters throw its unpredictability at us, and we are left in a protective corner, hiding from monster winds or running from snapping buildings of flame, when all has turned to ash, and history looks to memory for ground, we look to each other.
A moment of repose, if possible, is to remember each other: our connective tissues, our beginnings, middles and endings together, our profound affect on each other. When life could be only a minute longer, the one thing we look for is our fellow man woman or child to know that we lived for and not against each other. Take pause.
