本日は、先日入荷したメディコム・トイが世界中の様々なアーティストとともにアートワークやデザインを通じて様々なアイテムを提案するブランド「Sync.」より“BUCKET ON HEAD”をご紹介いたします。
【Synchronize = 同期】をコンセプトに、ひとつのジャンルにとらわれることなく、「アーティスト」と「モノ」のつながりを大切にアイデアとプロダクトをもって遊びごころ溢れるアイテムを展開しています。
イギリスのブリストル出身で、ロンドンを中心に活動する覆面芸術家「BANKSY」の作品の一つ、「BUCKET ON HEAD」のポリストーン製スタチューです。このスタチューは、2009年ブリストル市立美術館で開催されたバンクシー初の展覧会「Exit Through the gift shop」で、19世紀の天使の石膏像にピンク色のペンキで跳ね散らし、空のバケツを頭の上にかぶせた作品「Pink Angel」にインスパイアされたアイテムです。LOWER BOMBER”、“MONKEY SIGN”、ロンドンを代表するグラフィティ・アーティスト「D*Face」の人気作品“BEETHOVEN”のスタチューも展開しています。

Today we would like to introduce the "BUCKET ON HEAD" from "Sync"; a brand of Medicom Toy which suggests various items using artwork and design of artists from all over the world. Based on the concept of 【Synchronize】, the items have ideas and products with playfulness, giving connection to the "Artist" and "Product". The "BUCKET ON HEAD" we are introducing today is a a polystone statue inspired from the works of "BANKSY"; an anonymous artist from Bristol, UK who is mainly working at London. It is based on the “Pink Angel” that was released at the“Exit Through the gift shop” exhibition held in 2009 at the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery. It is a 19th century plaster cast of a angel and Banksy splattered it with pink paint and placed the empty bucket over the head of the figure. Along with this we also carry the “FLOWER BOMBER”“MONKEY SIGN”, and also the “BEETHOVEN”- a masterpiece of D*Face; a graffiti artist from London.
