The Mexican government has committed to create a new National Park around the Revillagigedo Islands. These waters are like the Galapagos of Mexico. They harbor one of the largest abundance of sharks and giant manta rays in the world as well as humpback whales, dolphins and five species of sea turtles. With this visionary action, the Revillagigedo National Park will fully protect almost 15 million hectares and become the largest no-take area in North America.
