We lost a giant yesterday. In this pic with me and @thirstinhowlthe3rd to my right is Voodoo Ray. When I first started going out to NYC clubs as a teen, this man was a dance legend. It wasn't a party if Voodoo Ray wasn't there. Throughout my career I could count on Voodoo Ray to involve me in events that kept me grounded and connected to the city. He went from world famous dancer to one of the most consistent party promoters in NYC. Voodoo Ray always had a smile on his face and an inspirational word. As a Dominican New Yorker, he was able to move seamlessly between the hiphop and Latin scenes and often connect them. From house to reggae to salsa to merengue to hiphop, Voodoo Ray approached music like a natural resource. He was funny, energetic and spiritual. I will truly, truly miss this brother. This is a tough one.
