'One of the lesser known areas of #Iceland becoming more and more popular is the almost unpronounceable #Fjarrgljfur, a 100m deep canyon in the country's southern region. The canyon is 2km long, with the Fjaðrá river running through it. Created by a 9000 year erosion process of flowing glacier water, this canyon has been used as a backdrop to many a music video and film, and is definitely a place to stop during your visit to Iceland.
