On familiar lessons that take on new facets and fully embracing each step in the current leg of the journey. My soul feels quieted these days perhaps because my heart feels more on the surface with old skin shedding. Everything feels a bit more raw. And that’s when I’m apt to just step back a little and observe. To process and to withdraw into the quiet sacred where the noise of the world around and even the clamoring of my own head comes to a still hush. The very place where I actually hear the Whisper within my heart. I really love resting here. And I like that autumn has graced itself into the atmosphere and that while dead leaves are falling away literally and metaphorically, they do so with such brilliance and in a beautiful array of colors. There is in fact beauty in the mess, in the uncomfortable flux of change, in the knicks and scrapes of discovery, in the slowing down into cocoons and hibernation, and in the sweat and blood of metamorphosis and new life. I was almost tempted to say earlier that “today just feels like one of those days” but instead I’ll say that today I am alive and evolving and very much thankful for it all.
