An explosion and resulting inferno at a fireworks factory near the capital of Indonesia killed at least 47 people and injured dozens more on Oct. 26, 2017. Many of those who died were female workers apparently locked inside, the Associated Press reports, adding that witnesses recalled a huge explosion at about 10 a.m. followed by smaller blasts that echoed across the neighborhood. Orange flames jumped from the building and columns of black smoke billowed from it. "I lost so many friends. I couldn't help," one woman told TVOne.
