Even though it might have been covered, I hadn’t seen the damage I saw yesterday in Comerío in the press or on the TV. This little community in the central mountain area of PR is struggling. The people there were warm and friendly in spite of the life they have been forced to live in the past three weeks. There’s an organization that was set up by locals (as the government isn’t doing enough) called “Don’t Forget Comerío”. They collect food and supplies from all over the Island and get it to the people up in Comerío in the mountains that need it. People that have no way of getting help. Poor people. Now that food is getting there the organization is trying to get people lights as a way of getting through the nights. One of the cast members on my film got this little go fund me going that will get little lights to these people that are solar rechargeable. They are brilliant.
