A new film with the National Gallery sees Pina Bausch’s long-term collaborator Lutz Förster guide us through an artful black-and-white world

For a new collaboration with NOWNESS and London’s National Gallery, filmmaker Marie Schuller was enlisted to create an artistic response to the cultural institute's landmark exhibition, Monochrome: Painting in Black and White. “Using only light and shape, we wanted to demonstrate the impact and beauty of a reduced color palette,” explains Schuller.
