Australia has been handling the asylum seeker issue in a harsh manner for years banning refugees on neighbouring islands, like Manus Island, PNG. The centers are being closed now and the refugees are very scared for their safety. Come on Aussie, we can do better... Big thank you to @russellcrowe leading by example, putting his hand up and offering to take responsibility for 6 refugees over a two year assimilation process of housing, helping with English language and cultural education (as required) and finding jobs...
It's clearly a contentious issue, requiring time, energy, big hearts and resources, but we as a community and individuals can provide solutions for those in need.
