Tutankhamun’s tomb was discovered #onthisday in 1922, a major breakthrough in Egyptology as this royal burial was largely undisturbed. Howard Carter and his team found the 3,000-year-old tomb in the ‘Valley of the Kings’, known for its high concentration of royal tombs cut out of the rock.
