Now more than ever is the time to focus on the girls that make up our future. Our future female CEO's, artists, and potential leaders. As it stands, 1 in 4 girls will not finish high school, 1 in 5 girls will be victims of childhood sexual abuse and 3 in 10 girls will become pregnant before the age of 20. As a young girl and a minority, I didn't believe that a lot of things were possible for me. It breaks my heart to know that other young girls are being held back from their dreams by socioeconomic background, sexual abuse and trauma. I'm so incredibly excited to be on the Host Committee with all of these AMAZING women for this year's upcoming @girlsinc Los Angeles Celebration Luncheon!!
