It has been a long past few months. Time always seems to be forever, then in the end not enough.

Congressmen Hastings, his amazing Chief of staff Lale, and his office have been working hard in regards to HR 1406 - The Dog and Cat Meat Prohibition Act. The legislative centerpiece for our campaign, that will ban the consumption of dogs and cats here in the United States.
.
When we wrote the bill, and asked Hastings to sponsor - we never thought there would be opposition. Currently the bill is stuck in Ag (the Agricultural Committee), with a few Congressmen feeling we are creating a problem that does not exist.
.
To speak against this, Nom Ally and Julie Waldrop have been assembling a power point presentation that highlights every dog consumption incident that has happened in America by state.
.
Currently there are 205 cosponsors in support of HR 1406, both Republican and Democrat. This December we fly back to Capitol Hill to meet with the Ag Committee, and Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. The goal, to pull HR 1406 to the floor, testify on behalf of the animals, and give our appointed legislatures a chance to vote.

Before that happens, we need help reaching out to specific Congressmen. Key people we need to get, in order to pull the bill to the floor.
