When you see this animal, what are your first thoughts? Personally I have always been an animal lover, big or small, furry or scaly it has never mattered to me. That said I don’t try to lecture others on how and what they should feel. I won’t however standby and watch people kill anything they want just because they can. Surely we are better than this? Hopefully we can be better than this... listening to organizations suggest that Big game hunting and being able to bring the animal trophies home some how helps conservation is twisted and misconceived at best. We owe it to the planet if not ourselves to be able to come up with better conservation methods. I truly can’t believe I even need to write this but as the current US administration has reversed a ban on the import of elephant trophies I have to speak up. Please let your local Politicians know this is not ok. There are so many important things we need to do to help the US and world at large but allowing trophy hunting in Africa is surely NOT one of them. Please don’t tell me it helps the elephants, tell that to their family and loved ones... Killing elephants to save them is not viable, sensible, or moral. But all conservation issues aside, there's no conceivable situation where the slaughter of these intelligent, compassionate, and sentient creatures could ever be condoned. an elephant is an elephant but a human can be humane #IStandWithTheElephants please sign the petition to ban elephant trophy hunting by following the link in my bio #voiceforthevoiceless #bekindtoeverykind
